Live chat
See who has the chat open and what they are typing, and let them see when you are typing.
The inbox shows what is happening in the chat on your website as it happens.
- Online: a dot on a conversation shows the customer has the chat open now.
- Typing: the list shows what the customer is typing before they send it, after Typing:. The conversation also shows it as a draft message.
- New chats: a customer who opens a new chat appears in the list before they send anything.
- Sound: the inbox plays a short chime when a new chat arrives.
When you type a reply, the customer sees typing dots with your first name. Notes never show typing.
