Settings and instructions
Turn the assistant on, connect your documentation and tell it how to answer.
Assistant settings are in Settings › Assistant.
Before you start
The assistant needs two things:
- An AI key. Add an OpenRouter API key in Settings › Business › AI (OpenRouter). The assistant's AI use is billed to that key.
- A documentation site that publishes
llms.txtorllms-full.txt. These files list your pages in a form AI can read. Most documentation platforms create them for you.
Turn it on
- Go to Settings › Assistant.
- In Docs site, enter the address of your documentation, such as
https://docs.example.com. The page shows how many pages it found. - Under Channels, choose Website chat, Email or both.
- Turn on Answer first with the assistant and click Save.
From then on, new conversations on those channels go to the assistant first.
